Hey there Le Purians! We are back with yet another insightful blog.

We bet that all you beauty lovers often interchange dry and dehydrated skin as the same thing. Don’t worry, you are not alone. This is a common misconception, and we are here to clear it out for good. You must distinguish between the two so that you can treat your skin with the right products.

Now, our products are often catering to both these problems together, but you should still know the proper way to decode your skin. So let’s begin.

While dry skin is an actual skin type that you are most likely born with, dehydrated skin is not. Dehydrated skin is a skin condition – an amalgamation of environmental factors, physiological factors, etc. This can happen to anyone at any point in their life.

What is dry skin?

Individuals with dry skin lack sebum, which basically means that it cannot retain moisture and people with other skin types. Dry skin is often paired with other problems such as cracking, sensitivity, prickliness, and/or eczema.

What is dehydrated skin?

Dehydrated skin basically means that your skin lacks water. If your skin lacks moisture, it naturally creates more oil to try to recover the missing water. As a result, the skin experiences dry patches, breakouts, irritation, etc. Furthermore, people with oily skin can also have this condition!
